Briefing
Back in 2012 — let alone today — two friends and I asked ourselves: could we enhance the museum experience using contemporary technology? And perhaps draw young people back into (classical) museums? How can we bridge the gap between ancient works of art and contemporary society? How can we make historical works relevant today?
Result
‘Paint Job.’ A virtual hijack of the physical collection of The Rijksmuseum. Twenty eight paintings were given a digital layer, built inside the then-existing Layer app. It kind of exploded, attention wise. From The Huffington Post to major blogs and magazines.
