Briefing

Creative agency D8 asked me to develop the new brand campaign for Dutch broadcaster NPO 1. I presented different directions. One clear favourite rose to the top: Waar Nederland één is (Where the Netherlands is one). 

Result

In a fragmented media landscape, with viewing habits becoming ever more individual, NPO1 is still the place where we come together. From Oranje to election night, from Boer Zoekt Vrouw to Prinsjesdag and from Wie is de Mol? to the evening news — NPO 1 is our shared screen, our national living room. Sure, the line also nods to the past, the channels’ old name “Nederland 1”, but more than anything, it reflects what NPO 1 means today: a collective experience, shared goosebumps, laughter and cheers across the country; at the same moment, on that one channel. Launched via TVC, short format videos and online.
